In Greek, “Leucadia" means
a sheltered place and this lovely coastal community truly lives
up to its name. This tranquil area is famous for its giant Eucalyptus
trees that line its main thoroughfare on Coast Highway and its
wonderful, laid back atmosphere. Leucadia is located on Highway
101 on the north San Diego County coast. Heading south out of
Carlsbad, it is the first beach community you'll encounter. |

Cardiff-by-the-Sea |

Cardiff-by-the-Sea is a charming
beach community within the city of Encinitas and bordering Solana
Beach. Like so many other North County areas, locals prefer
the quiet, easy living here and support efforts to keep it that
way. Just 25 miles north of the bustling city of San Diego,
it seems a world away. Many residents here live on hillsides,
enjoying gorgeous ocean views. |
